If you're among those who have been eagerly waiting for the JRPG Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, Rabbit and Bear Studios and 505 Games have a treat for you today.

We get a brand new trailer, and an extensive one, clocking at six minutes of footage, showing off everything you need to see about the game.

Not only do we take a good look at many of the titular Hundred Heroes and their abilities, but we also delve deeper into the game's rich features.

War mode in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes

We start with a look at the story and setting, alongside the charming visuals made of charming 2D characters and rich 3D environments blending together perfectly.

We also see how different heroes can cooperate in powerful hero combos when you improve their relationships, which is pretty much inevitable in this kind of game.

Next, is War Mode, which is an extremely interesting strategy RPG mode in which the camera steps away from party battles and into full-fledged large-scale battlefields when the conflict broadens.

Last, but certainly not least, the trailer showcases the alliance headquarters, which are going to be enriched and expanded when you recruit more heroes that will man shops and facilities.

You can check it out below and see what I mean when I say this is really impressive. You can also watch the Japanese version with Japanese voice-overs

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes will be released for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on April 23, 2024. It was supposed to launch this year, but it was delayed to provide the best possible experience, and looking at today's trailer, it certainly looks like it'll be worth the wait.

Fans already had a taste of the world of the game with the action-JRPG prequel, Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising.

Is the brainchild of a team of JRPG veterans led by Yoshitaka Murayama, creator of the Suikoden series. In 2020, Rabbit and Bear Studios launched a Kickstarter campaign that raised over $4.5 million, which isn't very surprising given the game's pedigree as a Suikoden spiritual successor and the talent working on it.

Full disclosure: the author of this post has backed Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes on Kickstarter.
