Bandai Namco has revealed the upcoming Dragon Ball: The Breakers open beta dates. Later this month, you'll be able to check out the studio's take on Dead by Daylight with Dragon Ball characters across all platforms. We also got a look at a brand new villain coming to Breakers, as well as some upcoming content for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot.
When is the Dragon Ball: The Breakers open beta scheduled for?
Ahead of its release this October, there's a Dragon Ball: The Breakers open beta scheduled for September 21st until September 25th. During that time, you'll be able to play the game on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch. Frieza and Cell will be available as "Raiders" (think killers from Dead by Daylight), but if you prefer to play as a Survivor, you'll have access to Bulma and Oolong skins to do so.
As well as this open beta announcement, new Raider Majin Buu was also announced for Dragon Ball: The Breakers. By playing as Buu, you can turn survivors into candy and absorb them, thus allowing you to change between Buu and his taller, slimmer Super Buu form. Bandai Namco also unveiled the Farmer skin for Survivors, modeled after the character from Dragon Ball Z's opening moments.

What's coming to Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot in future?
It's not all about Dragon Ball: The Breakers, of course. Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is also getting some love in the future. First up, the game is coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, and all previous and upcoming DLC will be made available for all platforms simultaneously. If you've been holding out for a Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot next-gen release, now's your time.
Kakarot is also getting a brand new expansion based on the 1990 TV movie Dragon Ball Z: Bardock - The Father of Goku. Bardock: Alone Against Fate will completely reproduce the story from the movie and allow you to take on Frieza, as well as getting to chat with other Saiyans and Frieza Force members at the end of each mission.

Dragon Ball: The Breakers launches on October 14th for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. It'll also be playable on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S through backward compatibility. No word yet on when we can expect the next-gen versions of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot to arrive, but for now, you can pick it up on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch as well.
