For any Dragon Ball and Dead By Daylight fans out there, today is a great day because we now have a Dragon Ball: The Breakers release date. The upcoming Dragon Ball asymmetrical multiplayer title is launching on October 14th. With the announcement of the Dragon Ball: The Breakers release date, there's also news of when we can play the Closed Network Test as well, so let's get into it all, shall we?
What is Dragon Ball: The Breakers?
For those who don't know, Dragon Ball: The Breakers is a take on the Dead By Daylight formula. It's an eight-player online survival multiplayer title where seven normal survivors will try to survive against Raider. They've been sucked into a "Temporal Stream" and don't have any superpowers, which sounds like a really bad time. All is not lost, as there will be power-up items, weapons, and pilotable vehicles that players can use as they search for the Super Time Machine to escape Raider.
If this sounds awesome to you, there's a Closed Network Test that can now be registered for. It will be made available at these times:
- Friday & Saturday 5-6 August 2022 10:00 PM to 2:00 AM EST
- Saturday 6 August 2022 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM EST
- Saturday 6 August 2022 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM EST
- Saturday & Sunday 6-7 August 2022 10:00 PM to 2:00 AM EST
There are also three different editions that will be made available for the game: a Standard Edition, a Special Edition, and a Limited Edition. The Standard Edition is a digital-only download that comes with the game, and if you pre-order it will also come with the “Android 18 Transphere”, the “Wall Kick” skill, and the “Scouter (Blue)” accessory. The Special Edition comes with the game, the “Two-Handed Good” victory pose, and the “Dragon (Yellow)” vehicle skin. As one might expect from the name, the Limited Edition is only available on the Bandai Namco Store. It will include the Special Edition content while also including a Steelbook, 3 Raider stickers, the Cell Shell Figure, and the “Potara (Green)” in-game accessory as a timed exclusive to the Bandai Namco Store.
If you have a hankering for something else to play in the meantime while you wait, there's always Dead By Daylight or cool mods such as the Guilty Gear Strive mod that mixes in Dragon Ball FighterZ.
Dragon Ball: The Breakers will launch on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC on October 14, 2022.
