Today Blizzard Entertainment announced and released an update for its popular RPG Diablo IV, numbered 1.0.3, including plenty of relevant changes.

The patch notes include buffs to several classes, which were promised a few days ago alongside the increase of experience acquired while playing in Nightmare Dungeons, both from killing monsters and completing them.

Of course, we also get plenty of fixes and some quality-of-life improvements, albeit not all of those that were promised during the latest livestream have been included in today's patch, and more will come in the longer term as they require more time for proper testing.

The developers also explained the rationale behind the changes made to classes.

We’re continuing our efforts to make all Class builds feel fun and powerful with another round of balance updates. In particular, we have seen community feedback stating that Basic Skills aren’t impactful enough in combat. These changes will not change the fundamental relationship between Basic Skills and Core Skills, but we hope that they help smooth out the leveling experience while we explore additional ways to strengthen them. We are also increasing the power of some Skills that players feel are lagging behind their peers. As we look forward to future updates, we’re monitoring other heavily discussed topics, such as Minion survivability and build parity. Please keep sending us your feedback, and we'll see you in Sanctuary!

As the patch notes are very extensive, we won't include them here, but you can find them at Blizzard's official site

Diablo IV is now available for PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4. Of course, you can read our full review of the game, in which our Austin Suther mentioned that Diablo IV "delivers exciting and accessible ARPG gameplay, a stunning world and engaging narrative to experience, and so many activities to keep you hooked for hours on end."

A few weeks ago, we also saw a music video of the game's anthem "Lilith" performed by Halsey and BTS' SUGA, to celebrate the release. You can also watch not one, but three launch trailers focusing on the storythe gameplayand live-action.
