Diablo IV Seasonal Character

One of the elements of Diablo IV's upcoming seasons that may prove confusing for new players is how seasonal characters are handled, and a new trailer is here to help.

The video shows how you can't just jump into the season with your existing characters, but you have to create a new one with which you can skip the main campaign and you can enjoy the seasonal content. That being said, as we saw during the presentation a few days ago, you don't start completely from scratch as some of the unlocks like the Fog of War and the Altars of Lilith become account-wide. You just need to log into your existing characters at least once after the game is patched on July 18.

The new character won't be stuck in the seasonal environment forever, as it'll be transferred to the Eternal Realm after the season ends, and you'll presumably make a new one for the next season.

You can check out the video below.

Diablo IV is currently available for PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4. Of course, you can read our full review of the game, in which our Austin Suther explained that Diablo IV "delivers exciting and accessible ARPG gameplay, a stunning world and engaging narrative to experience, and so many activities to keep you hooked for hours on end."

Season 1 will become available on July 20, and will pitch players against a new threat called "Malignant," on top of new monsters that will open the gate to the chance to acquire new powers and loot.
