Diablo 4 Early Access

The Diablo 4 early access pre-download times have been released, alongside the PC minimum requirements needed to run the latest addition to Blizzard's Diablo series.

The open beta of Diablo 4 is right around the corner and after the KFC early access code collaboration and weekend events were revealed, we now know when we will be able to pre-download the game. Starting on March 15, 2023, at 9:00 am PDT, Diablo 4 will be ready for early download for those with early access. The process for PC is pretty simple; open up the battle.net client, head over to the game's official page, and click the big blue "Install" button. On Xbox and PlayStation, you will need to head to the respective store on each console and search for the game, then select "Download".

Those who don't have early access will have to wait until March 22 at 9:00 a.m. PDT to pre-download the beta.

As for the minimum and recommended PC specs, here is a rundown of what you will need to begin your descent to Hell in Diablo 4:

Minimum Requirements to run Diablo 4 at 1080p native resolution / 720p render resolution, low graphics settings, and 30 fps:

  • Operating System: 64-bit Windows 10
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-2500K or AMD FX-8100
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 or AMD Radeon R9 280
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Storage: SSD with 45 GB available space
  • Internet: Broadband Connection

Recommended Specs to run Diablo 4 at 1080p resolution, medium graphics settings, and 60fps:

  • Operating System: 64-bit Windows 10
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-4670K or AMD R3-1300X
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 or AMD Radeon RX 470
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Storage: SSD with 45 GB available space
  • Internet: Broadband Connection

It's nice to know that you don't need the equivalent of a NASA space computer in order to run the game smoothly. Diablo 4 also does not support ray tracing at the time of launch, but it is a feature that the developers plan on working on in the future.

Diablo 4 is set to release on June 6, 2023, and will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
