If the delay news that we've already had today wasn't enough to dampen your Tuesday morning then I'm sorry that you have to read this. This morning Crystal Dynamics announced that their upcoming superhero team-up game, Marvel's Avengers, is going to be delayed into late Q3 of 2020.
The announcement was made on Crystal Dynamics official website. In it the two co-heads of the Studio, Scot Amos and Ron Rosenberg, explain the difficulty in making the choice and what their goals are with the delay.

At Crystal Dynamics our ambition has always been to deliver the ultimate Avengers gaming experience. In order to achieve that goal, we have made the difficult decision to move the release date of Marvel’s Avengers to September 4, 2020.
As fans ourselves, it’s an honor and a privilege to work with these legendary characters and we know what these Super Heroes mean to us and True Believers around the world. When we set out to bring you our vision for Marvel’s Avengers, we committed to delivering an original story-driven campaign, engaging co-op, and compelling content for years to come. To that end, we will spend this additional development time focusing on fine tuning and polishing the game to the high standards our fans expect and deserve.

When is the Marvel's Avengers Release Date?
September 4th will now be the new release date for Marvel's Avengers. This pushes it back a whole four months from it's originally planned May 15th release. While this game was first teased a few years ago it was only at this most recent E3 that we got to see cinematic and gameplay footage. We even had a chance to check out some gameplay outselves.
