The Capcom Pro Tour is very, very close to wrapping up. The Latin American Regional Finals were held in Sao Paulo, Brazil this past weekend, and it was the second to last event before Capcom Cup, with only the North American Regional Finals left.

As with all Regional Final events in the Capcom Pro Tour, the top 8 players in the region battled for a whopping 400 CPT points to go towards their global ranking and only those 400 points. No points are given to second, third, fourth, fifth, or seventh places. This makes the tournament practically life or death for those who are teetering on the fence between qualification and non-qualification. Top LATAM players Brolynho and MenaRD are not at the tournament, but they didn't need to be, as they've already secured their spots in Capcom Cup.

In addition to the Regional Finals for SFV, a Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite Battle for the Stones tournament was held here, as well. The stone in question will be the Reality Stone, which will allow its user to change three buttons on the opponent's controller at the finals, which, like the Capcom Cup, will be held at PlayStation Experience on December 8-10.

Streaming for the event was handled by Capcom Fighters and Battle for the Stones channels on Twitch. As usual, players will be listed in “[sponsor/team name] | [player name]” format, with their used characters in brackets. If you'd like to view the event's brackets on your own, you can do so here, on Toornament.

I've been playing video games since 4 years of age, and finally began to deeply invest myself into the world of fighting games in 2015 after many off-and-on encounters with games inside the genre. I have a preference for 3D fighters, but also enjoy Street Fighter, King of Fighters, and some airdashers. I'm also a big fan of RPGs and shmups.
