Thunderstruck V in Mexico is part of the Capcom Pro Tour's Latin America division, and with the year slowly coming to a close, those 160 CPT points look more and more appetizing to those who are desperate to qualify for Capcom Cup.
In addition to the headlining game Street Fighter V, tournaments were also held for The King of Fighters XIV, Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, and Super Smash Bros. Melee. However, due to incomplete brackets and not being streamed, Smash 4 will be excluded from results.
Streaming was handled by Team Sabroso and La Gema. As usual, players will be listed in “[sponsor/team name] | [player name] [[characters used]]” format. Links to each tournament's brackets will be provided at the end of each top 8 list.

Chris Tatarian continues to utilize the skill boost he received from his training in Japan to come out victorious over one of Japan's legends, Sako the execution king. Chris T receives 160 CPT points for his efforts, bringing his total up to 420. He's still over ten places away from breaking into top 30, but sliding in is definitely possible if he hits the grind and goes to some of the last remaining events in the tour. Sako, on the other hand, is much closer to reaching that goal, sitting just outside of the top 30 at 35th with 501 total points.
