The Battlefield all day stream has just ended and after talking about all of the games that got them to this point EA has finally announced Battlefield 1. This reveal also confirms all of the information that was leaked about the game earlier today. Battlefield 1 will be coming out for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC via EA's Origin service. On the panel was Lars Gustavsson Design Director, Alex Grøndal Senior Producer, Westee a YouTuber, and Patrick Soderlund made an appearance to show off the trailer.

Battlefield 1 will be the 12th title in the Battlefield franchise and the fifth game in the main series. EA aims to bring "more battlefield in the Battlefield campaign" with trench warfare on the front lines of World War I. The story will be told from the perspectives of several different people, which is intended to involve the player more in the world of Battlefield 1. You won't just be fighting this war on the western front either as you will get to travel to a variety of places including the Alps and even the Deserts of Arabia. The name was chosen because the development team felt that World War I was the birth of modern warfare and the game will take place before Battlefield 1942.
Grøndal described the game with the following
The game will deliver a fresh experience full of what makes Battlefield great, with a multiplayer sandbox, immersion, epic scale, authenticity, team play and an ever-changing world full of unexpected Battlefield moments.
This idea of Battlefield 1 being 'varied' was one that remained persistent over the entire presentation.
On the frontlines there will be new melee weapons for you to utilize like maces, shovels, bayonets and more which are supposed to all play differently. There will also be vehicles such as tanks ranging from light to heavy, ships, boats, bi-planes, bomber planes and more. The range of tanks shows the early development they were in at the time and each is designed to handle and play differently. Some of the larger tanks will even be able to house an entire squad. Horses were also present in the trailer but the panel was hesitant to reveal whether you would or would not be able to ride them into combat although, later on, they did confirm you would be able to fight them.
Some other noticeable points talked about from the trailer were that the "flamethrower dude" from the trailer would play a role and that the use of gas and gas masks would play into the game.
DLC has also been revealed for Battlefield 1 in the forms of three different DLC packs; Hellfighter Pack, Red Baron Pack, and the Larence of Arabia Pack. Inspired by the Harlem Hellfighters, the first African-American infantry unit the Hellfighter Pack consists of items themed on their heroic deeds. In the Red Baron Pack you will be taking to the skies with items inspired by the famous German Pilot. In the Lawrence of Arabia Pack you will be given items and weapons based on the archeologist T.E. Lawrence.
More Information will be revealed on Battlefield 1 in the upcoming months. Fans who are going to EA Play, 12-14th June in LA and June 12th in London, will be able to be some of the first to get their hands on the game. The worldwide release of Battlefield 1 will be October 21st, 2016 but players who pre-order the Early Enlister Deluxe Edition will be able to start playing on the 18th of October. As well as the early access the Early Enlister Deluxe Edition will also come with the Hellfighter Pack, Red Baron Pack, Lawrence of Arabia Pack, and 5 Battlepacks. Everyone who pre-orders (normal or Early Enlister) will get the Hellfighter Pack shown above, as well as 7-day early access to free map drops. Subscribers of EA Access on the Xbox One and Origin Access on the PC will get a chance to play the game early via those services. Lastly, Battlefield Insiders will get early access to the Open Beta that will apparently be coming later this year.
