Today Larian Studios had news to share for the many RPG fans eagerly waiting for the release of Baldur's Gate 3.
First of all, we get a new trailer featuring the disturbing villainess Orin the Red and her actress, Maggie Robertson. We get to watch Orin as she licks her precious blades like the most scrumptious dessert and use her shapeshifting powers to be as disturbing as she possibly can be.
We also hear Robertson explain how she approached this challenging role and how she interacted with her evil cohorts, General Ketheric Thorm played by J.K. Simmons and Lord Enver Gortash played by Jason Isaacs.
You can watch it below.
Also, if you're so ready to play that you're counting the hours, the developer has published the exact release times for all regions on August 3 (or August 4 if you're in the Japanese timezone or beyond). We also hear that save games from early access won't be compatible with the final game as too much has changed.
Baldur's Gate 3 will release on August 3 on PC. On the other hand, fans on PS5 will have to wait until September 6 for the console launch.
While Baldur's Gate 3 is coming to PC and PS5, Larian has previously mentioned that it isn't exclusive and an Xbox version is in the works, albeit it's taking time to clear some technical hurdles.
The game has been in early access for quite some time on PC. Baldur's Gate 3 will bring the Forgotten Realms setting back to video games, was initially partnered with Google Stadia and was supposed to launch on the cloud service before its predictable flop and closure.
If you'd like to see more, you can check out previous gameplay including a rather... intimate and beastly encounter, a trailer mostly focusing on romance, another trailer and footage from the PC Gaming Show, alongside plenty of information shared alongside the release date.
