Larian Studios just hosted an extensive livestream about its massive RPG Baldur's Gate 3, and there were certainly some interesting reveals during the show.
While you can check out the full livestream below (on top of a trailer released earlier today that may prepare you for what you're going to see, but not quite), I'm going to provide you with a list of timestamps to enjoy the most revealing (at times literally so) chunks of gameplay.
We then get a video about romance and relationships and more gameplay showing a date in Baldur's Gate, alongside a look at the dynamic newspaper as a bonus. But what happens when things go beyond dating and a vampire spawn decides to have sex with a druid... in bear form? You can see that here, keeping in mind that the scene is likely not safe for work. Apparently, according to studio head Swen Vincke, this got the stream removed from TikTok.
More live footage shows combat in the extra-hard "Tactician" difficulty mode following a video about cinematic storytelling. Speaking about storytelling, the stream ended with an extensive look at more gameplay from Act 2 showing the story from two entirely different perspective. Since it's Act 2, keep in mind that this part is very much filled with spoilers.
Baldur's Gate 3 will release on August 3 on PC. On the other hand, fans on PS5 will have to wait until September 6 for the console launch.
While Baldur's Gate 3 is coming to PC and PS5, Larian has previously mentioned that it isn't exclusive and an Xbox version is in the works, albeit it's taking time to clear some technical hurdles.
The game has been in early access for quite some time on PC. Baldur's Gate 3 will bring the Forgotten Realms setting back to video games, was initially partnered with Google Stadia and was supposed to launch on the cloud service before its predictable flop and closure.
If you'd like to see more, you can check out the previous trailer and footage from the PC Gaming Show, alongside plenty of information shared alongside the release date.
