We've finally gotten a look at a new Avatar game. No, I'm not talking about The Last Airbender. I'm talking about James Cameron's Avatar — get ready to explore Pandora in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora!

It's been well over a decade since James Cameron's Avatar premiered in theaters. Since then, we've gotten confirmation of a sequel just recently and haven't heard much else. Now, it looks like a new Avatar video game is on the way — and boy, does it look gorgeous. Check out the Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora First Look Trailer to see what this upcoming game looks like!

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is an action-adventure game that is being developed by Massive Entertainment, a wholly-owned Ubisoft subsidiary. The company has worked on both of the core The Division games and Far Cry 3, so it certainly has a fair amount of experience.

This new Avatar game will have you playing as a Na'vi in the Western Frontier, a part of Pandora that's never been seen by audiences before. There will, of course, be more than our fair share of strange wildlife, but it looks like you'll also have to face off against the RDA (Resources Development Administration) that served as the main antagonist in the first film.

When is the Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora Release Date?

The Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora release date is sometime in 2022; unfortunately, Ubisoft did not provide a more specific launch window.

You'll be able to play the game on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Google Stadia, and Amazon Luna sometime next year. Frontiers of Pandora was build using the Snowdrop engine and is apparently well-suited for next- gen consoles. For now, you can add Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora to your wishlist on the Ubisoft Store.

I've had a controller in my hand since I was 4 and I haven't stopped gaming since. CCGs, Tabletop Games, Pen & Paper RPGs - I've tried a whole bunch of stuff over the years and I'm always looking to try more!
