A new character has been revealed for the recently announced anime fighting game Under Night In-Birth II Sys:Celes, and it's the beautiful and lethal Kaguya.

Kaguya was revealed with a new trailer showing off her graceful moves.

You can watch her in action below.

We also learn that the game will be featured with two stage events at Tokyo Game Show next week, one on August 21 and one on August 23. The former promises new announcements.

Under Night In-Birth II Sys:Celes will release in early 2024 for PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. It'll be published by Arc System Works.

We already know from the initial announcement (which was made during EVO 2023), that the game will feature new story content, new systems, and new playable characters, on top of the popular rollback netcode, which will surely please many fans.

If you're unfamiliar with the Under Night In-Birth series, it debuted in the Japanese arcades in 2012 by French Bread, a developer that started its career as a doujin circle known for the Melty Blood series, the Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax series, the super-cute 2003 action game Drill Molky Punch featuring many characters from the Muv-Luv series, and more.

The series has received lots of iterations since its debut, the latest of which being Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late cl-r in 2020. It has become rather popular as of late due to the growth of visibility of the anime fighting game sub-genre and has even earned its place among EVO's featured games.
