Melty Blood DLC

The first of four DLC characters has been announced for the recently-released Melty Blood: Type Lumina in Dead Apostle Noel, who wields a spear and uses mid to long range attacks. She restrains her enemies with projectiles and traps "in a battle style evocative of a dancing butterfly"... whatever that means.

Fighting games in recent months have received a lot of love. We've had Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl land with a thud while Guilty Gear Strive may have changed fighting games forever. Melty Blood: Type Lumina also released only a few months ago and has done fairly well on Steam, with 3,839 reviews and a 86% "Very Positive" score at the time of publishing.

What else is included with Dead Apostle Noel?

The character will come with a new stage called Crimson Chapel and a character story. Voice actor Ai Kayano has also been confirmed to be returning to her role of Noel. As Dead Apostle Noel is the first of four planned DLC characters, players can expect a new unique battle stage to accompany every one of them.

As for Noel, she's a character that appeared in the recent Tsukihime remake, with another version of the character appearing on the main roster. Noel is a DLC version that appears during the Ciel route of the title and she will also have special dialogue when she confronts Ciel in Melty Blood: Type Lumina, so fans should get a kick out of that.
