The latest Ubisoft Forward continues with brand new content announced for the studio's open-world hacker adventure, Watch Dogs: Legion.

Quite a bit of content got revealed for this long-delayed game about a group of freedom fighters striking back against an oppressive police state in nondescript version of a dystopian post-Brexit Britain. The first tidbit we got was that acclaimed, award-winning British musician Stormzy would be in the game as part of an exclusive side mission.

"We are thrilled for Stormzy to be a part of Watch Dogs: Legion. His music and what he speaks to as an artist is extremely relevant for our London setting, and for the larger themes of our game," commented Clint Hocking, Creative Director at Ubisoft Toronto. He added, "It's been almost a year since we had Stormzy in the studio to film his performance. He lit up the room, and captivated us all. He's a great collaborator, and it was a career highlight for us to get to work with him."

In a follow-up announcement, Ubisoft revealed that Aiden Pearce, the brooding antihero and protagonist of the first Watch Dogs game would return in Legion in a brand new adventure. The catch is that his adventures will continue in post-launch content as part of Legion's Season Pass.

A Season Pass that seems to have more content that it seems at first blush. According to the official press release by Ubisoft Toronto: The Season Pass of Watch Dogs: Legion is available for purchase as part of the Gold, Ultimate and Collector editions, and will offer one new story expansion delivered in two narrative arcs, extra DedSec missions, four unique heroes including Aiden Pearce, the Complete Edition of the original Watch Dogs game from 2014, and more.

Yes, it appears in addition to having Aiden Pearce return to cause hacking havoc in London, players can also experience his own original 2014 adventure if you pick up the Season Pass. Whether or not this means the original game will be getting a next-gen console upgrade alongside its sequel is still unclear.

Watch Dogs: Legion is scheduled to release October 1 2020.
