Today Yostar released a new trailer for its popular mobile action RPG Aether Gazer, focusing on the next update and character.

The trailer introduces the next update titled "Countertide Whalesong" and aptly summer-themed. It will be made available in the game on June 27.

We also get to meet the new character (that in the game is defined "modifier") that will become available via gacha with the update, Waverender - Skadi. She's a melee-type Divine Grace character.

More footage showcases the Snowflake 2 deck, the new Siren enemy, and a couple of skins for Kuninotokotachi and Ookuninushi.

Of course, like all updates, it comes with an event story, which is part 2 of Beneath the Waves, alongside more content and rewards. You can watch the trailer below.

Aether Gazer is currently available for iOS and Android. While you may not be familiar with this specific title, if you're into mobile games, you may know the companies behind it. It's published by Yostar and developed by Xiamen Yongshi, both are primarily known for their work on the super-popular Azur Lane

It's a fast 3D action RPG that prompts the player to fight alongside AI teammates in a squad of three against monsters called “Visbanes.” You can expect the usual army of waifus, likely unsurprisingly considering the developer involved. That being said, there are also a few male characters this time around. Of course, this all ties into the inevitable gacha mechanics.

If you're unfamiliar with the game, you can check out a previous trailer focusing on introducing the gameplay.
