How to Get Married in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life

Marriage is your goal for Chapter 1 of Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life (you can't even progress to later chapters if you don't end up marrying by the last day of Year 1). Thankfully, the process of wooing your favorite character is much faster than other games in the series. There are 8 characters that can potentially be married in A Wonderful Life, regardless of gender:

• Molly
• Nami
• Lumina
• Matthew
• Gustafa
• Gordy
• Rock

Unlike other characters that only have a friendship meter in the "Resident Info" menu, marriage candidates have an additional Affection meter. This increases when you give them gifts they like — in fact, this is the only way to increase their Affection. You can give multiple gifts to characters per day, though some will not take the same type of gift multiple times (i.e. you can only give Molly 1 of the flowers she'll like each day, but Lumina will take 2).

Once you reach Summer of Year 1, the Harvest Sprites will leave a "Blue Feather" in the blue box outside your house (the same one money you earn from selling things goes to). This feather can be given to a marriage candidate once they have at least 8 hearts of affection, regardless of whether you've seen any of their events. Even if you don't confess to any of the characters, you'll have the option to choose from the characters with high Affection right at the end of Year 1. As long as you give a few characters items every now and then, you shouldn't have to worry about finding a partner before Year 2.

Best Gifts for Cecilia in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life

Flowers are the best gift to give Cecilia, as they're free to pick up around town. She'll take any of them once a day. If you want to speed things up even more, you can also give her crops or eggs once a day as well.

Best Gifts for Molly in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life

Molly likes some flowers, but not all. You can give her 1 Toy Flower or Goddess Drop Flower per day, so make sure to gather these whenever they're growing around town. She'll also take 1 Milk per day, or the Coins you can gather from the Dig Site.

Best Gifts for Nami in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life

Nami doesn't like flowers, so your best bet is the Clay Figurines and Leaf Fossils that can be gathered from the Dig Site. She'll also take any crop once a day if you have any spare.

Lumina loves flowers, and will take 2 of any per day.

Best Gifts for Matthew in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life

Despite Matthew seemingly not enjoying the farming lifestyle, he loves crops and produce. The easiest is Milk or Eggs, though he'll also take crops or fruit like Apples.

As you'd expect, Gustafa is a fan of flowers. Give him 1 of any flower per day, alongside Milk or crops if you want to speed up Affection gain.

Best Gifts for Gordy in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life

Gordy is another fan of flowers, and will take 1 of any per day. He'll also take crops or animal produce like Milk or Eggs. Note that Gordy will not accept gifts when he's standing around normally, which includes the entire time he's in his trailer.

Best Gifts for Rock in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life

Rock will accept 1 Toy Flower, Mist Moon Flower, or Upseed Flower a day, making them a free and easy gift. He also likes soup, the easiest to make being Egg or Milky Soup (each only requiring one of their titular ingredient).
