Marvelous has revealed the Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life release date. The upcoming farming sim remake will arrive on PC and current-gen consoles (and Switch) on June 27th, so it's almost time to revisit the idyllic Forgotten Valley and build a life for yourself there.
Along with news of the release date, Marvelous also unveiled a brand new trailer for Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life. The trailer features a number of papercraft illustrations by the Japanese artist shinrashinge, showing you what you can expect if you decide to put down roots in Forgotten Valley. Take a look at the trailer here, and try not to let your heart melt too much.
If you've played the original A Wonderful Life, which launched in 2004 for GameCube and 2005 for PS2, then you'll know roughly what to expect. You'll move into Forgotten Valley, getting to know its community and building a farm for yourself on which you can grow crops and raise livestock.
This remake, however, will add a number of enhanced features, including new events, crops, and recipes, as well as enhancements to festival events and more. The remake will also let you choose to be a non-binary farmer to better reflect a wider variety of gender identities. What's more, you can romance and marry any of A Wonderful Life's romance options regardless of your gender.
You can get your hands on Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch when it launches on June 27th. If you'd like to pre-order a physical version of the game, you can do so via several retailers over on the official Story of Seasons website. The standard edition gets you the base game, while the premium edition also comes with some fun extras like a notepad, a poster, and some cute stickers, as well as a special box.
