Splatoon is a colorful, family-friendly third-person multiplayer shooter in which players take control of an Inkling, a humanoid creature with the ability to melt effortlessly into ink puddles.
Two teams of four face off against one another in multiplayer arena-style combat, but the unique twist Splatoon brings is that it's not about kills; it's about the amount of ground you cover with your team's color.
Splatoon also boasts a single-player campaign in which players must complete a series of platforming challenges and defeat a number of boss encounters.
