Fable Legends is a cancelled co-op action RPG that was being developed by Lionhead Studios until March of 2016, when the studio was announced to be closing. Ultimately, the reasons for why the game was cancelled included high production costs, frequent delays, and a lack of actual player interest.
Fable Legends was centered around four heroes and a villain, similar to online cooperative game Evolve. Whether you wanted to play online or single-player, the developers intended for the experience to be the same whether you played as one of the heroes, or a villain. The game was set a few hundred years before Fable, Fable 2, and Fable 3, but not much more was revealed about the setting and plot of the game.
