Warner Bros has announced that Batman: Arkham Trilogy has been delayed on Switch.

The collection was originally due to arrive on Nintendo's console later this month, but will now instead be released on December 1st, representing a delay of a little under two months.

According to a post on X, the delay is to give the developers "more time" to create "the best possible experience on Nintendo Switch".

Batman: Arkham Trilogy was first announced to be coming to Switch during a Nintendo Direct presentation back in June.

The collection will include Batman: Arkham AsylumBatman: Arkham City, and Batman: Arkham Knight, as well as all previously-released DLC for all three games.

Just as with other Arkham Trilogy releases, it won't include Arkham Origins, the 2013 prequel developed by WB Games Montréal.

You'll have to wait a bit longer for the Switch version of Batman: Arkham Trilogy.

The Switch is in the middle of something of a porting renaisssance right now, with ports of Red Dead Redemption and cult RPG Gothic also being announced for the system in recent months.

However, Nintendo's machine is also notorious for being somewhat underpowered; developers have delisted games on Switch over bad performance in the past, and even natively-developed Switch games have been criticized for poor performance and visuals.

When Switch ports are announced, they seem to frequently either be delayed or outright canceled, as has been the case for high-profile releases like Hogwarts Legacy and Marvel's Midnight Suns.

Of course, it's important for any game to get its Switch version right, but Batman: Arkham has more skin in the game after the very public disappointment caused by the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight.

We'll have to wait and see whether Batman: Arkham Trilogy gets delayed on Switch again, but for the moment, the collection is due to arrive on Nintendo's console on December 1st. Stay tuned for more info.
