Logitech G930 Wireless Gaming Headset Review

I recently came to the realization that a good gaming headset can be a great addition to a game, especially one with 7.1 Surround Sound. To that end, when my previous headset broke - I had to decide on a new one that I could use for my everyday gaming needs. When looking at price, features, and sound, as well as pure useability - I found that the Logitech G930 wireless headset would be perfect for my needs.

Obviously, one of the most important parts of a gaming headset, because you'll be wearing it for a long time, is comfort. This headset is phenomenal in terms of comfort, thanks to a large hole for your ears to fit in without really touching the padding. The headset, while heavy, fits comfortably around your ears and allows you to play without having to fiddle with the headset every few minutes. It fits well around any ear, and the comfort is exactly what any gamer who plays for lengths of time would want.

My first concern with buying a wireless headset was the potential for signal loss or sound issues. After a few weeks of using them, I want to assure everyone that with this headset, you won't have to worry about that. I was able to comfortably walk around the house listening to music or talking to friends without a hitch. The second concern would likely be in terms of battery life, which is actually really long. Have a 6-8 hour gaming session planned? No worries, just charge it up and game on! If you run out of juice, you can actually still charge while you play!

G930 Dock

The functionality of this headset is fantastic - with the ability to program the 3 custom keys to whatever you would like, depending on which application or game you have open. So, when playing Titanfall on PC, you can flip through your Spotify or music player without having to do much of anything, or program it to perform certain tasks while in-game! Personally, the dock for the wireless receiver is really cool - as it is a round object that winds the cables for charging around base, allowing for clean cabling when not in use.

The sound for both input and output is crisp, clear, and loud. From music, to gaming sounds and effects, you'll get excellent audio to enhance your gameplay experience. If you're more into the actual chatting, from recording videos to chatting on Mumble, then the input is also excellent and worthy of any headset you may be looking for using a microphone on!

Logitech G930 - Summary

Overall, for the $150 price point (which is usually much lower on Amazon), the Logitech G930 wireless headset is fantastic. You'll find big sounds, great battery life, and less tripping and fumbling over cables (my personal favorite), when using them. Anyone looking to either upgrade or replace a current 7.1 surround sound headset should definitely take a look at these!
