Games Workshop's support for Warhammer 40k 10th Edition continues. The latest edition of the popular grimdark sci-fi miniatures game has been packed with promotional events. These have included previews of various armies, the release of the first battle report, the release of the core rules, and the Battle For Oghram community event coinciding with the release of the Leviathan boxed set. Now Games Workshop is releasing tools to help games go more smoothly with the Warhammer 40k 10th Edition Space Marine Index.

Warhammer 40k 10th Edition Space Marine Index release

Games Workshop revealed the Warhammer 40k 10th Edition Space Marine Index in an official Warhammer-Community post. The post mentions that a lot of changes have come for Space Marines leading up to the launch of the 10th Edition. This includes the return of Terminators as well as updated Primaris Marines. Now, all of those changes and rules are in one convenient place with the new Index, which can be downloaded for free. It covers army rules, and the Gladius Task Force Detachment with its own unique stratagems, combat doctrines, and enhancements.

Finally, the index contains datasheets for every single unit in the Space Marine army. The datasheets include infantry, vehicles, and named characters. It even includes units from more obscure Space Marine chapters like the White Scars, the Raven Guard, and the Iron Fathers. These datasheets and rules can be printed out and used for quick references at your table, speeding up play. If your preferred faction isn't in this 252-page index, chances are they will be covered in the Space Marine Chapters index.

Games Workshop has plans to release more indexes for each army next week. Given the release of the Leviathan box, there's a good chance the next index may be the Tyranids, giving the two factions even playing ground for the Battle for Oghram event. As for which army index will be revealed next, that is anyone's guess.
