Funko Games has announced a new The Warriors board game called The Warriors: Come Out to Play. That's not the only upcoming new release, either -- a new Jurassic World board game is also in development.
You probably know Funko for the literal armies of collectible vinyl figures that it produces, but it started expanding into tabletop games in recent years. It's also picked up licenses to produce board games based on existing media properties such as The Rocketeer. Now, two new tabletop games are on the way based on The Warriors and Jurassic World.
The Warriors: Come Out to Play is a cooperative game based on the cult classic 1979 film The Warriors. The film details the struggles of street gangs vying for power in New York City after a peace summit goes awry and the titular Warriors are blamed for the death of another gang leader.
Players will be able to choose from eight members of the Warriors gang in this cooperative survival game experience. You and your friends will loosely be following the plot of the film, trying to travel through New York City and battling rival gangs in an attempt to make it back to your home territory of Coney Island and clear your gang's name.
When is The Warriors Board Game Release Date?
The Warriors board game release date is February 4, 2022. You can pre-order the game on Amazon for $24.99 or your regional equivalent.

Also Announced: A New Jurassic World Board Game
The Warriors board game wasn't the only announcement from Funko Games today -- a new Jurassic World board game is also in development and will be launching in around a year, taking us once again into the universe of Jurassic Park.
The new Jurassic World board game has not yet been officially titled, but we do know some details about the game's theme based on a press release from the publisher. This all-new tabletop experience will allow you to play through an epic campaign that covers the plot of the entire franchise and beyond. This is also a "Legacy" game -- that means that each playthrough will change the experience for the next one.
When is the New Jurassic World Board Game Release Date?
The new Jurassic World board game release date will be sometime in the Summer of 2022; a more specific release date has not yet been announced. If video games are more your thing, you'll be happy to hear that a new Jurassic World video game is on the way, too.
