What is Jurassic World: The Legacy of Isla Nublar?

Jurassic World: The Legacy of Isla Nublar is a legacy game where decisions and outcomes from one game will go on to impact the following game session in an evolving story. The central story of the game covers events across all five of the Jurassic films, from the initial founding of Jurassic Park to the eventual downfall of Jurassic World. Funko Games promises over 24 hours of gameplay, as players move through 12 different gaming sessions (which each take around 2 hours to complete). After players have fully completed this legacy game, they'll have a custom and unique board that they can play on for countless sessions going forward.

Players will be able to team up and play as classic Jurassic characters like Dr. John Hammond, Dr. Ellie Sattler, Dr. Alan Grant, Owen Grady (pictured above), and Claire Dearing, among others. The park will start rather bare-bones but will soon begin to grow and flourish, as explained in Funko's press release, "Gameplay begins with detailed miniatures of four dinosaurs: Tyrannosaurus rexVelociraptorBrachiosaurus, and Triceratops. As players research and expand the park, they will unlock more dinosaurs from the mystery boxes while keeping park employees and visitors safe. The players’ experience will culminate in an endlessly replayable game shaped by their own unique park." You can learn more about the game in this official Youtube preview released this past December.

Jurassic World: The Legacy of Isla Nublar will hit Kickstarter on Tuesday, March 22nd, and you can check out their Kickstarter Preview link now!
