Back in April, Activision and Arcane Wonders announced Call of Duty: The Board Game. Aside from the fact that the blockbuster military shooter franchise would be coming to the tabletop, that initial announcement had little information.

Now, we have a bit more, including the date it will go live on Kickstarter.

Call of Duty: The Board Game's Crowdfunding Campaign Date

In an official press release, Arcane Wonders released more details about Call of Duty: The Board Game.

In this adaptation, players take on the role of elite operators. Their objective is to outthink, outmaneuver, and outgun their opponents in competitive shootouts of two or more players at a time.

To this end, the board game will combine various elements from its source material to make each gun battle intense and rewarding.

In addition to elements of strategy, tactical planning, and combat, the game will feature high-quality miniatures of iconic soldiers and weapons, as well as various scenarios, maps, and game modes from the franchise.

In addition, Arcane Wonders have announced that Call of Duty: The Board Game will appear at this year's GenCon. Attendees can go hands-on in both Standard and Advanced modes, which will feature up to eighteen-player sessions.

Lastly, Call of Duty: The Board Game's Kickstarter campaign will go live on August 1 at 10 AM EST. The press release does confirm that there will be a base game as well as multiple Kickstarter pledge tiers.

At the time of writing, the contents of those tiers are unknown.

In addition, those that sign up for a newsletter can receive updates and secure a free K-9 miniature and killstreak card for the game.

Arcane Wonders is no stranger to tabletop adaptations. Their work includes Hello Neighbor: The Secret Neighbor Party Game and RWBY: Combat Ready.

Call of Duty: The Board Game is scheduled to release globally sometime in 2024.
