Disney Lorcana The First Chapter Booster Box Opening

Disney Lorcana, by Ravensburger, has proven incredibly popular since its release, and along with veteran CCG players, the Disney IP has also brought in non-CCG players. To coincide with our Disney Lorcana Beginners Guide, we doing a Disney Lorcana The First Chapter Booster Box Opening of 24 booster packs to give players an idea of what you might find in the packs and how they break down. The nature of CCGs means that the cards in the packs are entirely random across the set rarity of each pack, which for each Lorcana booster pack is 6 common cards, 3 uncommon cards, 2 rare, super rare, or legendary cards, and 1 foil card (random rarity level). 

Lorcana The First Chapter Booster Pack 1

In this pack, we got:

Commons: Control Your Temper!, Maleficent Sorceress,  Tinkerbell Most Helpful, Magic Golden Flower, Goofy Daredevil, and Fire The Cannons!

Uncommons: Coconut Basket, Mother Knows Best, and Sven Official Ice Deliverer

Rare or above: Mickey Mouse Miskateer (Rare), and Stitch Abomination (Rare)

This is a pretty standard pack, only containing 2 rares and a common foil.

This is a slight step up from a standard pack, with a Super Rare and an Uncommon Foil. It's nice to get both Dr. Faciliers.

The Super Rare and Uncommon Foil raise this above a standard pack, but don't dazzle with great pulls. Mulan is a solid card and does well in the Moana/Mulan deck.

A great Foil pull with Robin Hood in this pack, our second Robin Hood Unrivaled Archer in this deck box. It would have been a great pull to get another higher-than-rare pull.

The Elsa Spirit of Winter Super Rare is a great pull in this pack. Lots of other thematically linked cards too. Peter Pan and Tinker Bell, Mufasa and Simba, and Elsa and Let It Go.

A decent pack with the Super Rare and the Rare Foil. Plus Tinker Bell Giant Fairy is probably my favorite card in the set as it's super aggressive in play.

An average pack with the 2 Rare's and Common Foil, but I do like Do It Again allows you to bounce a used action card back to your hand, which is very handy in decks that rely on certain cards to get going.

An above-average pull with the Super Rare, but it is a great Super Rare. A Whole New World, when timed correctly can refill your hand and force your opponent to discard cards that they probably want to use, cycling through their deck quicker, a staple card in Mill decks.

A decent enough pack with the Super Rare and Uncommon Foil. The Super Rare Mickey Mouse Artful Rogue is a decent enough card though and I love the fact that you can 'upgrade' a Mickey in play to this card for cheaper than it's cost.

Our total pulls outside of the standard commons and uncommon for the deck box were:

While I didn't get an Enchanted in this box, I did get one in a previous box that we used to produce our Lorcana Guide, and I got some great pulls from this box. I got several cards for my Ruby Aggro Deck, another Tinker Bell Giant Fairy, and a Mickey Mouse Wayward Sorcerer to build up those themed decks.
