Microsoft has announced a new monthly Xbox news feature. Xbox 20/20 will give insight into what's coming next for Xbox Series X and Xbox One, as well as news on upcoming games and services related to Xbox.

In a post on the official Xbox website, chief marketing officer Jerret West describes what Xbox 20/20 will bring. West says these "monthly moments" will take place throughout the rest of the year. The first installment is coming this Thursday, May 7th, and is part of Geoff Keighley's Summer Game Fest event. That update, says West, will focus on next-gen gameplay. We'll be seeing the first gameplay footage of Ubisoft's recently-announced Assassin's Creed: Valhalla, as well as hearing from more game creators about what they're up to with regards to Xbox Series X. The May Xbox 20/20 update will also divulge more info about which games will support Smart Delivery, a feature that allows you to play games across both Xbox One and Xbox Series X.

Looking ahead, West says the July Xbox 20/20 presentation will be focused on "the incredible games coming from Xbox Game Studios". You can expect a number of new game announcements and gameplay showcases, as well as what West calls "insights from development teams being optimized for Xbox Series X". There's no mention of a June presentation, but Xbox will be joining IGN's Summer of Gaming showcase, so we can perhaps expect an Xbox 20/20 presentation then.

West also says that the Xbox team's goal is still to launch both Xbox Series X and Halo Infinite "this Holiday", and that all 15 Xbox Game Studios teams are working on next-gen games for the new console and for Xbox Game Pass on PC. All major Xbox releases will also be available on Xbox Game Pass for PC, including Halo Infinite and the upcoming Microsoft Flight Simulator. In addition, West says there's more news on the way regarding the Xbox streaming service Project xCloud.

Exciting times to be an Xbox fan. If you want to tune in to the inaugural Xbox 20/20 presentation, you can do so via Mixer, Twitch, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube. The presentation kicks off at 8 am PDT.
