As revealed during IGN's Summer of Gaming, the upcoming Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Earthblood is an Epic Games Store Exclusive.
A fancy CGI trailer gave us a look at this upcoming werewolf title developed by Cyanide Studios and published by Nacon. We get a look at the World of Darkness setting, with heavy machinery and plenty of wolves. Check out the trailer below.
Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Earthblood is, as you might expect, a game about being a werewolf. Players have three different forms that offer different gameplay opportunities: human, wolf, and werewolf. According to the game's official website, becoming a werewolf allows players to excel in combat, while the wolf form is appropriate for stealth, for example.
Get ready to experience the World of Darkness universe once more with Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Wolfblood, with more details to come on July 7th during Nacon Connect. You can wishlist the game now on the Epic Games Store. It also arrives on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One later this year. As of right now, there is no date for a Steam release, if it will happen at all.
Quick Take
Sure, CGI trailers don't show much, but I do enjoy some werewolves. Vampires have had their time to shine, so now it's time for a good werewolf game. I really can't think of a good werewolf game, either. The World of Darkness and Werewolf: The Apocalypse are both established franchises, so I do have some hope that we can get a true werewolf game - one that these fantasy creatures deserve!
