DRM-free digital game retailer GOG has brought two new Warhammer 40,000 games to their platform. Warhammer 40,000: Fire Warrior and Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus are both now available for purchase for PC (and Mac, in the sole case of Mechanicus) according to press releases.

Warhammer 40,000: Fire Warrior is a somewhat unusual game from the 40K franchise. Unlike the majority of the titles out there, you do not play as a Space Marine or even anyone from the Imperium of Man. Instead, you take on the role of a Tau Fire Warrior, one of their many types of ranged combat specialists. This first-person shooter has you doing your best to defend your world against an invasion from the Imperium of Man and forces of Chaos across 21 levels.

On the other side of things, Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus is a bit more in line with games set in grimdark future. You'll command a group of Adeptus Mechanicus as they head out to explore a recently-discovered Necron planet. Because hey, messing around with technology on a Necron planet is always a good idea. Oh boy. You'll fight against enemies in turn-based tactical combat across 50 intense levels where you'll face terrifying enemies. And by "terrifying enemies", I mean "unkillable robot zombie murder machines haunted with the spirits of a long-dead race". Because Warhammer 40,000 is fun like that!

Not only have these two Warhammer 40,000 games made their debut on GOG — the newer of the two is available at a hefty discount. You can pick up Warhammer 40,000: Fire Warrior for the low price of $5.99 or your regional equivalent. As for Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus, you can get it for $19.49, a 35% discount off of its normal price of $29.99.

I've had a controller in my hand since I was 4 and I haven't stopped gaming since. CCGs, Tabletop Games, Pen & Paper RPGs - I've tried a whole bunch of stuff over the years and I'm always looking to try more!
