There's bad news for fans of big battles: Brilliant Game Studios has announced that the Ultimate Epic Battle Simulator 2 release date has been delayed to next year.
Ultimate Epic Battle Simulator is a wild game that launched on Steam Early Access back in 2017. It allowed players to pit hundreds or even thousands of troops in two armies against one another, often in hilarious situations. It's a ton of fun, and that's why it wasn't a huge surprise when Brilliant Game Studios announced a sequel at the start of this year -- check out its trailer to see the insanity in motion!
Ultimate Epic Battle Simulator 2 promises to allow for a hundred times more characters on screen without sacrificing framerate; one of the demos had 1.3 million -- yes, million -- soldiers on the screen and still managed to run at 60 FPS. That's pretty impressive.
Unfortunately, this ambitious sequel is also taking a fair amount of work to get it right, never mind the fact that Brilliant Game Studios is also working on The Black Masses. The development challenges have ultimately led the team behind the game to delay the Ultimate Epic Battle Simulator 2 release date.
When is the Ultimate Epic Battle Simulator 2 Release Date?
The Ultimate Epic Battle Simulator 2 release date has been delayed to Spring 2022; a more specific release date has not yet been announced.
"We have decided to delay the release to (Hopefully early) spring of 2022," read a Steam Community news post from the devs. "We have been working super hard on both UEBS2 and The Black Masses. As some of you may know, we just pushed The Black Masses to beta 0.1. A great accomplishment for us here @ Brilliant Game Studios! The open world title is currently on sale for 66% off, so head on over if you wish to support our other titles!"
