If you love Nihon Falcom's The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel series, Good Smile Company announced a new plastic model kit that might pique your interest.
The Akihabara-based manufacturer's mecha-dedicated Moderoid line will follow up on its beautiful Valimar, the Ashen Knight (which is incidentally launching this month) with another Divine Knight from the series, Ordine the Azure Knight piloted by Crow Armbrust.
The new model kit was revealed earlier today via the Mecha Smile Impact 2023 live stream in which several new Moderoid kits have been revealed, mostly related to anime.
Considering the quality we have seen from the prototypes of Valimar, it's interesting to see that Good Smile is continuing to cover the franchise and gives us hope that all the Divine Knights will be made at some point. Considering that they have some of the best mecha designs in gaming, that'd be fantastic.

If you're unfamiliar with the Trails of Cold Steel series, it's a sub-series of four games part of the larger Trails franchise by Nihon Falcom. It's quite popular thanks to its classic gameplay and rich storytelling, and it has recently given birth to an anime series, The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel – Northern War, which has just debuted and is streaming in the west on Crunchyroll.
Nihon Falcom has already moved on to a new subseries, Kuro no Kiseki, which is already at its second installment in Japan. Unfortunately, localization is lagging behind and in the west, we're still waiting for The Legend of Heroes: Trails Into Reverie of 2020 vintage, which is releasing in North America and Europe on July 7th, 2023 for PS5, PS4, Switch, and PC.
