The Legend of Heroes: Trails into Reverie has both a long name and a long-running story to live up to, as it's the climax of the Erebonia and Crossbell arcs in the Trails series. It's releasing on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation consoles, and PC on July 7th, 2023, which will have fans undoubtedly chomping at the bit in order to get the answer to their burning questions.
Luckily, you won't have to rely on fan translations that are being shut down by NIS to play Trails into Reverie, which will probably come as a relief. It's nice to know that we have a release date and can now properly prepare for the climax to the Erebonia and Crossbell arcs.

The game will feature the Crossroads system, which you'll be using to freely switch between Rean Schwarzer, Lloyd Bannings, and the masked figure "C". While doing so, you'll be determining the fates of characters and locations in Zemuria. You'll also be able to recruit new characters and enter randomly generated dungeons to see how legendary your heroes are.
Another in-game system, the new United Front system, will allow you to "utilize Arts, Brave Orders, and cunning tactics to prevail in battle". Basically, you'll be harnessing your team to destroy your foes while also making yourself stronger, which sounds like a pretty good deal all around. As you'd expect from any JRPG worth its salt, you'll have many side quests and mini-games to complete, which, if you're a completionist, will take you over 100 hours to master in total. We'll have to see it for ourselves next Summer.
