Total War: Warhammer III Update 1.3 might feel like small potatoes compared to Updates 1.1 and 1.2, but there are still a bunch of things that players can look forward to when Update 1.3 is released on June 30, 2022. There's the second official unit pack in Regiments of Renown II, character trait and skill tree reworks, and more. Let's take a look at it all, shall we?
What's included in Total War: Warhammer III Update 1.3?
Total War: Warhammer III Update 1.3 is meant to address player-reported errors, outstanding issues, and other areas of the game. Basically, it's a warmup for the massive patch coming in August, but that isn't to say there aren't cool things in this patch. The Regiments of Renown II is the second official unit pack for the game, and seven new units will be included. What they are exactly will be revealed when the 1.3 update arrives, so players will have to wait until then to see what they're getting.
The character tree and skill tree reworks are being made to help improve the effectiveness of Lord and Legendary Lords while also helping factions that have struggled with rebuilding their armies. As with the Regiments of Renown II, more details will be revealed on launch.

The Realms of Chaos campaign is receiving more tweaks. The most notable of these is when an AI teleports to the Forge of Souls. When that happens, players will now be given the option to teleport in and confront them if they are in a position to do so. This will prevent the need for players having to camp in the Forge of Souls until the AI decides to appear, which sounds incredibly annoying.
Other changes include Cathayan Formation Attack improvements, Kurgan Warband spawn rates being tweaked, and Miao Ying now having her Eye of the Storm ability. While this sounds great, what's not so great is the retraction of a previously announced inclusion in 1.3. The added frequency of field battles in the campaign is no longer coming in Update 1.3, but it will be eventually coming in a future update.
