Today Creative Assembly showcased the gameplay of the upcoming DLC for its popular strategy game Total War: Warhammer 3, titled Shadows of Change.
This time around, following the video dedicated to The Changeling, we get to take a look at the new faction from Grand Cathay, led by Yuan Bo, the Jade Dragon.
We get to see his specific features and mechanics, including the ability to enact various actions in the "Matters of State" menu by spending Steel and Stone tokens.
Interestingly, Yuan Bo's Wu Xing Compass will bring him into conflict with lizardmen as he struggles to empower it for his victory condition.
We also take a look at the units coming with the new DLC for Cathay, the Jade Lion, the Jet Lion, the Celestial General, and the Onyx Crowmen.
On top of that, there are new regiments of renown to help you dominate in battle, the Grace of Quai Yin, Empress Crowmen, and the Jade War Drum.

Total War: Warhammer 3 is available now exclusively for PC, and we saw an extensive roadmap of upcoming content all the way into 2024. The new expansion will launch on August 32, priced at $22.49 until September 7, after which it'll go up to $24.99.
If you prefer historical settings, Sega will soon release of Total War: Pharaoh, coming in October.
