Total War: Warhammer 3 Shadows of Change DLC - The Changeling

Today Creative Assembly showcased the gameplay of the next DLC coming to its popular strategy game Total War: Warhammer 3, titled Shadows of Change

The video focuses on one of the Legendary Lords that will become playable with the DLC, simply named The Changeling.

He's definitely quite far from your usual Legendary Lord, relying much more on deception than brute force. He can take on the form of the enemies he defeats and form cults in the cities he conquers.

These cults will grow alongside the city with their own buildings that can be symbiotic or parasitic, helping the city grow and benefiting in return, or sapping away its energy.

Conquering the world isn't The Changeling's objective, as he'll win the game by hatching schemes that will sow chaos and discord among their enemies.

You can check out the video below, which also shows the new units added to the Tzeentch roster by the DLC, the legendary hero(es) The Blue Scribes, Tzaangors, the Cockatrice, and the Mutalith Vortex Beast.

Total War: Warhammer 3 is available now exclusively for PC, and we saw an extensive roadmap of upcoming content all the way into 2024.

If you prefer historical settings, Sega will soon release of Total War: Pharaoh, coming in October.
