This War Of Mine: Stories - Father's Promise, a new DLC from the game where civilians try to survive in a war-torn environment, is out now according to a news post on the game's Steam Community page.
Father's Promise is the first of three new adventures from the Stories DLC for This War Of Mine. It centers on Adam, a father who is trying to protect his daughter from the harsh reality of war and escape a city under siege. As a civilian in a war-torn city, you'll have to contend with looters, soldiers, and basic survival all while trying your best to keep Adam's daughter safe. The two forthcoming parts of Stories content will premiere sometime in 2018. It doesn't just feature a new narrative - new gameplay elements will be introduced to complement the existing mechanics already in place. While players will revisit some old locations (which have been remastered for this DLC), 4 completely new locations have been created as well. The story of Father's Promise is based on an audio drama written by Polish author Łukasz Orbitowski.
