The third Marvel's Avengers War Table stream has concluded, revealing high-level missions and a special raid that can only be done once per week. Furthermore, a new hero is arriving: Kate Bishop is confirmed as a post-launch character.

Marvel's Avengers is ramping up for its September 4 release date with a new episode of the "War Table", a series of streams that detail the ins and outs of this upcoming game from Crystal Dynamics. What we've seen thus far is pretty good, and now we can see what players will do once they've reached the higher levels of the game.

Check out the third Marvel's Avengers War Table and see some of these new high-level missions in action along with a heartwarming tribute to the late Black Panther actor Chadwick Boseman.

High-level players will be able to participate in four types of missions once they've accumulated enough power:

  • Villain Sectors are special missions where you battle super-tough bad guys. You'll definitely need to power up before you can tackle these challenges!
  • SHIELD Vaults can earn you a lot of valuable loot, but you'll have to find them first.
  • Mega Hives will have your full roster of heroes going through a gauntlet is increasingly-difficulty enemies. Once all of your heroes are knocked out, you'll have to start over from the beginning.
  • Finally, AIM's Secret Lab is locked to players who have hit the level cap. This mission will only be available once a week and will culminate in an intense boss fight that will change depending on the player's choices throughout the mission.

That's not all that's on the way, though! Crystal Dynamics has also revealed one of the post-launch characters for Marvel's Avengers: Kate Bishop.

Third Marvel's Avengers War Table Reveals Kate Bishop

Kate Bishop, like most Marvel heroes, has a long and storied history in the comics universe. To keep things short, she's a regular person who was inspired by Clint "Hawkeye" Barton to learn combat techniques, eventually joining the Young Avengers and participating in other superhero team-ups.

She'll be serving as the game's first post-launch character, debuting a storyline that investigates some shady things that Hawkeye happens to be doing. Naturally, she'll jump into battle wielding her iconic bow and arrow. Kate Bishop was one of the post-launch characters reportedly leaked via the game's beta code.

Kate Barton will be available sometime shortly after the launch of Marvel's Avengers. If you're more of a fan of Clint Barton's Hawkeye, you need not worry — he'll be joining the game sometime in November 2020 to add to Kate's story. In the meantime, you have a few days left to pre-order Marvel's Avengers via its official website.
