We finally have a Terra Invicta release date. The space grand strategy game, which has been created by devs who worked on the XCOM Long War mods, is entering Early Access later this month, so you'll finally be able to get your hands on it.
When is the Terra Invicta release date?
You won't have too much longer to wait if you're itching to enter the world of this game. The Terra Invicta release date is September 26th, bringing strategy on a galactic scale to the Steam Early Access program. Given that Terra Invicta has already been delayed beyond its initial release window, this news will no doubt come as a relief if you've been waiting to check this one out.
Terra Invicta revolves around an alien invasion of the solar system, but it's not only about that. The game focuses on the response to the invasion by major government organizations and other interests, and it's up to you to juggle those interests in order to combat the invasion. There are plenty of possibilities open to you; if you like, you can simply flee to a distant star system and leave someone else to figure the invasion out, or you can tackle it head-on.
As you might expect from the creators of the XCOM Long War mod series, Terra Invicta places you in the decision-making chair for the long haul. You'll need to oversee resources, engage in diplomacy with competing interests, and choose how best to deal with the alien invasion. It looks like it's going to be perfect if you're a fan of games like Stellaris (and, of course, XCOM).
The Terra Invicta Kickstarter was originally launched in late 2020, so an Early Access release date of September 26th isn't actually that long in the grand scheme of things. Still, it feels like this one's been a long time coming, especially if you love grand strategy. You can wishlist the game on Steam right now ahead of its launch later this month if you like.
