If you've been following the upcoming Pokemon-like game Temtem, you'll be happy to hear that the three starter Temtem have finally been revealed in a brand-new trailer.
For those of you who are well-familiar with the game, go ahead and check out the reveal trailer for the three creatures you can choose from at the beginning of the game:
If you don't know what Temtem is all about, it's pretty straightforward. Take the duo battles from the Pokemon games, build out a whole new list of creatures, and make it an online-only MMO-style game.
That's what Temtem is all about in a nutshell, and it should be especially exciting to people who may have been disappointed at the state of Pokemon Sword and Shield. We're still learning about the world of Temtem, but now we know a little more about the choices you can make at the beginning of the game.
Here are your Choices for Starter Temtem
Just like Pokemon, players will be able to pick from one of three creatures at the beginning of the game. Each creature is weak to one of the others and strong against one of the others, but this sure as shootin' ain't your daddy's Grass, Fire, and Water types!
- HP: 60
- STA: 41
- ATK: 61
- DEF: 69
- SPD: 33
- SPATK: 46
- SPDEF: 42
Crystle is a tanky starter that's good for the defensively-minded player, strong against electrical and mental-type Temtem, serving as a counter against Houchic.
- HP: 49
- STA: 55
- ATK: 69
- DEF: 44
- SPD: 66
- SPATK: 37
- SPDEF: 37
Smazee focuses on attack power and speed with an advantage against earth and crystal-type Temtem, countering Crystle nicely.
- HP: 38
- STA: 44
- ATK: 40
- DEF: 41
- SPD: 66
- SPATK: 72
- SPDEF: 52
Houchic are fast glass cannons with the lowest HP but the highest Special Attack. Houchic is effective against neutral and melee-type temtem, serving as a counter against Smazee.
So, there you have it! Smazee beats Crystle, Crystle beats Houchi, and Houchic beats Smazee!
Temtem isn't out quite yet; when it is, you'll be able to buy it on the Humble Store. In the meantime, you can sign up for Beta stress tests at playtemtem.com.
