A Temtem PS5 release date has been revealed by the developers and you won't have to wait long to play it — this creature-catching game is coming to Sony's newest gaming console in less than a week.
Temtem is a game that is very much like Pokemon in many respects. Players can catch creatures, train them, and battle other trainers throughout the game world. The key difference, however, is that Temtem is an online game that lets you interact with other players. It is, in some respects, the Pokemon MMO that many of us have wanted for years.
We've known that Temtem was coming to PS5 since late summer, and now we know just when we can get it — it's all set to launch early next week! Want to know more? Check out this cool new gameplay overview of Temtem that tells you about the world in just a few minutes!
How Will the Temtem PS5 Version Work?
The Temtem PS5 version will work just as it does on the PC, although there are some notable feature absences. As the PS5 Early Access F.A.Q. notes, the PS5 version will be launching with Cross-Play for PC players, but there won't be any Cross-Progression or Cross-Save on launch; Crema hopes to get these features out to players at a later date. What this means is that current PC players will likely have to start over if they decide to start playing on the PS5.
Aside from the disappointing lack of Cross-Save and Cross-Progression, Temtem is essentially the same as the version you can play right now on PC. When is the Temtem PS5 Release Date?
The Temtem PS5 release date will be December 8, 2020. The game will be launching at a special Early Access pre-purchase price of $37.49; after it launches, the game will bump up to its full price of $39.99. A Deluxe Edition is also available at a premium.
If you're remotely interested in this game, it's also important to note that the developers will be gradually raising the price as they add more content, ultimately landing at $44.99 for the Standard edition and $64.99 for the Deluxe Edition; Crema has already raised the price of the game once earlier this year to coincide with the launch of its new Kisiwa update.
As this game is in Early Access, the Deluxe Edition deserves a special mention, too. Temtem tamers will get some bonus cosmetic content right when they purchase it, but some of the Deluxe Edition content won't arrive until future updates are deployed. You can pre-purchase Temtem for the PS5 starting at $37.49 or your regional equivalent. If you'd prefer to play on PC, you can buy it on Steam or on the Humble Store at the same price.
