Today Nintendo announced another of its Nintendo Direct livestreams, this time around, dedicated to Super Mario Bros. Wonder.
According to the announcement made on X (formerly Twitter), the livestream will air on August 31 at 7:00 a.m. PDT, 10:00 a.m. EDT, 3:00 p.m. BST, or 4:000 p.m. CEST, depending on where you live.
It'll last 15 minutes and promises an "in-depth look" at the game.
Traditionally, these game-specific Nintendo Direct streams focus exclusively on the game mentioned, so we shouldn't expect big surprises or reveals of additional games.
If you're unfamiliar with Super Mario Bros. Wonder it's an upcoming side-scrolling platformer announced at the latest Nintendo Direct in June. It will be released exclusively for Nintendo Switch quite soon, on October 20, 2023.
The game is the first side-scrolling Mario game for the Switch. The latest was New Super Mario Bros. U in 2012 and it was for the Wii U as the title suggests.
With the departure of the beloved Charles Martinet from his role as Mario's voice actor, we don't yet know who will replace him. Of course, there's the possibility that the cast will be aligned with the movie, bringing forth the voice of Chris Pratt, and we'll possibly know more about this on Thursday.
This isn't the only Super Mario game coming soon, as fans are eagerly awaiting the Super Mario RPG remake, which is scheduled for a release just a month later, on November 17.
