Sony had more new games to show off at State of Play. This time it was Away: The Survival Series, a new game being developed by Breaking Walls.

The trailer opens up showing a lush forest and commenting on how peaceful it is. However, it then zooms in to show a family of sugar gliders, and how hectic life can really be. It then shows various scenes of a sugar glider surviving in the wild. The gameplay included it dodging a cat, fighting with a snake, catching a bug, gliding with an eagle, and sliding down a muddy bank on a log. Did you know the life of one sugar glider could be so hectic? The end of the trailer showcases a giant flaming tornado, which is probably one of the most unfortunate situations a sugar glider could be in.

On the game's website they talk about how your goal is to survive during an upcoming cataclysmic storm. You'll have to hunt smaller animals, such as insects, to survive, while avoiding predators. The team talks about how they were inspired by nature documentaries, and even got Mike Raznick to compose their game. Raznick is known for his work on documentaries such as Planet Earth II.

As for the developers, they're a new studio that has been working on Away: The Survival Series for the last three years. Breaking Walls consists of developers from Montreal and worked on series such as Assassin's Creed, Far Cry, and Prince of Persia. This is their first video game, and they are both developing and publishing it.

Away: The Survival Series will be coming soon to PlayStation 4 and PC.
