At The Escapist Indie Showcase 2021, developer Poetic Studio and publisher Iceberg Interactive have revealed the Sacred Fire release date, which is set for October 19, 2021. Sacred Fire: A Role-Playing Game features Doug Cockle, the voice Geralt from the Witcher series. In it, you're a refugee hunted by Rome and your actions are "compromised by fear and rage." You'll have to build up willpower to control story choices and master battle tactics while also outsmarting opponents and gaining allies. You'll be able to either wage war or work for peace as you eventually become a hero or an outcast.

What else is there besides the Sacred Fire release date?

There's also a demo available now if you want to give this game a try. You'll be able to play the first chapter of the story, and it plays differently if you select a male or female protagonist. The demo will have Doug Cockle, Michelle Gonzo, and Ben Britton as important story NPCs that you'll be interacting with.

If you play the demo and want more, the first three acts will be available in the Early Access launch, with the other two being available as free updates. For the duration of Early Access, it will only be in English, but after it will be localized for different languages once the story is finalized.

If you're excited about this game and want to play more games like it, Expeditions: Rome is a turn-based strategy game that's coming soon, and there's even a Rome: Total War board game that's coming. Basically, if you're a fan of Rome then you have a lot to look forward to in the near future.
