The latest addition to a number of League of Legends spinoffs, The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story, finally has a release date of April 18, 2023.
There are several different LoL spinoffs in the works, but one of them now has a release date to look forward to. The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story is a 2D pixel-art RPG that takes players on a journey through the League of Legends universe. Players will take on the role of Sylas, a spell-stealing mage who has broken free from his captors and uses he chains that once kept him locked away as weapons in an attempt to save his homeland. The game is being developed by Digital Sun also known for Moonlighter; a hack-and-slash rogue-lite also featuring pixel art visuals.
It isn't hard to believe that Riot Games is branching out even further from its well-known titles such as Valorant and League of Legends, as they have gained massive popularity in the last several years. Though The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story is the latest to be announced, there are also several other games in the works that follow the LoL universe, as well as a few that have already been released. Project L was also recently announced with no known release date at this time. Ruined King is a previously released League of Legends story that uses turn-based tactics and is a single-player RPG-type game.
The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story will release on April 18, 2023, on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam, The Epic Games Store, and GOG.
