You would think with the beginning of a new year, you might see some new year resolutions to quit games like League of Legends or World of Warcraft, but who are we kidding? Those games can be way too fun.

In fact, according to the latest report from Raptr's "Most Played PC Games of January 2015", we see that World of Warcraft and League of legends have kept their reign in tact as the 1st and 2nd on the most played PC games list. League of Legends has remained consistently on top as number one throughout this year and as far back as September of 2014 according to prior TechRaptor articles.

Of course these two contender see  the disparity between themselves with League of Legends sitting at nearly twice the amount of play percentage as World of Warcraft. Despite the release of Warlords of Draenor last year, World of Warcraft has seen a total loss of 5.28% play time since December of 2014, though it'll need to lose another 5% before DOTA 2, which sits at 3rd place, can overtake it.

Speaking of which, DOTA 2 has seen an increase in play time of 23.18% and remains at number 3 while Counter Strike Global Offensive gained 37.23% and now sits in the 4th spot. This massive influx with Counter Strike was due in part to the addition of maps and item as well as updates through January.

Another influx was seen with Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft, which jumped up 23.73% and took the 6th spot below Smite. This is a bit of an upset considering that Hearthstone sat at the 9th spot from September to November of 2014.

Diablo III saw a massive increase of 77.27% play time, falling into "January's Most Played" and stepping up five spots. Diablo III also saw an update through the release of patch 2.1.2, which accounts for this increase. Unfortunately, a few other games suffered from this increase with World of Tanks, Battlefield 4, and ArcheAge losing rank despite an increase in play time.

In the MMORPG world, Final Fantasy XIV Online jumped up two places from number 15 to number 13 and Guild Wars 2 went up three spots from 17 to 14. Both MMORPGS offered updates and access to new features over January.

Dragon Age: Inquisition saw a loss as it dropped three places from the 6th to the 9th spot losing a total of 17.74% of its play time.

The game that took the biggest hit for January was Warframe, which dropped a whopping six places from the 13th spot to the 19th spot. Warframe overall saw a loss of 17.98% play time. This was despite being updated with new skins and weapons.

As always, a complete list of the top 20 is below, and for a more detailed breakdown of that list, visit http://caas.raptr.com/.
