Every year, Pornhub quietly collects data on what people are watching. They've just released the data for 2019, and it includes the most popular Pornhub video games. Unsurprisingly, Overwatch reigns king.
Several key pieces of data revealed what was searched for the most in the category of Pornhub video games. To start, here are the top ten most searched games from the year:
- Overwatch
- Fortnite
- Pokemon
- Minecraft
- Apex Legends
- Resident Evil
- Mortal Kombat
- The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
- Borderlands
- The Witcher
Unsurprisingly, searches for individual characters were also largely dominated by Overwatch
- Zelda (The Legend of Zelda)
- Lara Croft (Tomb Raider)
- D.Va (Overwatch)
- Super Mario (Super Mario Bros.)
- Bowsette (Fanfiction, Super Mario Bros.)
- Mercy (Overwatch)
- Mei (Overwatch)
- Ada Wong (Resident Evil)
- Ashe (Overwatch)
- Brigitte (Overwatch)
Interestingly, some of the Pornhub video games character searches had some pretty significant shifts as compared to the previous year. While they didn't necessarily rank very high, some searches did see excellent growth.
Here are the ten characters who had the most growth in Pornhub searches over the last year:
- Nina (Tekken) ▲ 1,124%
- Maya (Borderlands) ▲ 791%
- Aqua (Kingdom Hearts) ▲ 681%
- Sonya Blade (Mortal Kombat) ▲ 511%
- Pikachu (Pokemon) ▲ 372%
- Jade (Mortal Kombat) ▲ 323%
- Ada Wong (Resident Evil) ▲ 288%
- Zelda (The Legend of Zelda) ▲ 138%
- Andromeda (Mass Effect) ▲ 132%
- D.Va (Overwatch) ▲ 102%
Outside of all of this, there was one surprising bit of information revealed in the charts below showing that one game had some rather explosive growth — but only for a short time.
Apex Legends Caused Massive Pornhub Video Games Search
Apex Legends saw a massive spike in searches, hitting a high of 357, 701 on February 18, 2019. The spike in searches dipped rather massively, presumably because people just didn't find much.
Considering that the game was more or less surprise announced, adult content creators just didn't have the time to crank out any media quickly enough. Even now, a search of the category mostly shows a handful of adult cosplay videos and a few digital animations — nothing in comparison to something like Overwatch.
