Overwatch 2 Lifeweaver

Today Blizzard Entertainment had new reveals to share about Season 4 of its popular hero shooter Overwatch 2

We learn that the new season will launch on April 11 and we get to take a look at the new support hero, Lifeweaver, in action. Lifeweaver was teased yesterday, but we finally get to see more of his flamboyant prowess.

He's defined as "an intelligent and curious adventurer who plans to use his light technology to make the world a better place."

About his abilities, he's said to be able to "shift the dynamic of every fight by providing cover, leveraging his mobility, and impacting positioning in ways we’ve never seen before." It'll certainly be interesting to see what he's capable of with further reveals.

In the meanwhile, you can watch the trailer below, alongside the animated video of his Origin story.

Overwatch 2 is currently available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. It's free-to-play, so you can try it out without a purchase, but, of course, it has plenty of optional microtransactions.

In case you're not familiar with the game, it's the successor of the original hero first-person shooter Overwatch, which was active between 2016 and 2022. It features a sci-fi story set in a future version of Earth where humanity and the robotic Omics are struggling for dominance and survival, while the titular reformed international task force Overwatch attempts to maintain order as terrorists organization raise and corporate conflicts ensue.

While the game doesn't have a single-player story mode for now, it's slated to be released at some point in 2023.
