It's time to do 100 pushups, 100 sit-ups, 100 squats, and a 10km run because One-Punch Man has made its way into Overwatch 2. The collaboration will only be live for a limited time, starting on March 7, 2023, and ending on April 6, 2023.
Several games have started collaborating with known anime, other games such as card games, and iconic characters from our favorite childhood tv shows and movies to keep players interested and collecting their favorite legendary skins. Fortnite, for example, has characters from Dragon Ball Z and Star Wars on its roster. It appears Overwatch 2 has hopped on the bandwagon and is collaborating with the Super-Hero manga gone animated series, One-Punch Man. For the next month, players will have access to a free legendary skin, which can be obtained by completing challenges, and three other legendary skins that can be purchased. The purchasable skins include Doomfist, Genos Genji, and Kiriko, while the free one will be Mumen Rider Soldier: 76.
Blizzard made sure to explain that these are not new heroes entering the game, but the heroes we know and love cosplaying as other known characters from some of our favorite shows. Besides the free one, these "cosplay" skins do not come cheap, as they will cost anywhere between 1,900 Overwatch coins and 4,400 Overwatch coins for the premium One-Punch Man bundle. If you are only interested in unlocking the free one, all you need to do is play a minimum of 24 matches in order to unlock the actual skin itself, while the smaller cosmetics, charms, name card, and pose all come from fewer games played.
With over a half dozen unlockables, there will be a decent amount of content for players to enjoy for this limited-time collaboration.
